Martial Arts for the Very Young

Text Box: My first experience teaching pre-school age children was in the mid 1980’s. Since that day I have learned so much from teaching these young students: patience, perspective, and a sense of humor, to name just a few. I feel like I have barely scratched the surface. I am blessed with the pleasure of teaching all ages and all ranks. Although I love teaching them all, the pre-schoolers remain the most surprising and amazing.

Kicks with Kids is a comprehensive guide to meshing the wonder and trust of the pre-school age child with the rigorous discipline that is Karate. Subjects covered include how to tell if a child is too young, realistic goals, how to keep the attention of the very young and the expected attention span. This text is a great idea for anyone who shares an interest in teaching.
